Scoot in the Community: Winter Wonderland

December 13th, 2019

The holiday season is officially here and Scoot is ready to spread some holiday cheer!

We like to reflect during this time of year and think about ways we can give back to the community we so value and appreciate. ‘Tis the season, right?

Running now through New Year’s Eve, the San Francisco Winter Walk will be hosting a pop-up shopping plaza. The event, spanning five weeks, offers community performances and entertainment, family-friendly activities, food trucks, beer and wine gardens and craft holiday cocktails (and the list goes on!). Additionally, Grant between Geary, Post and Maiden Lane, in the heart of Union Square, will be closed to offer the opportunity to stroll, maybe even carol, through the streets. The Scoot team will also be offering free valet for bike and scooter parking with the San Francisco Bike Coalition for easy riding to and from the festivities.

On Tuesday, December 17th, Scoot employees, along with our friends at JUMP, will be volunteering at the San Francisco Firefighters Toy Program. This special toy program was founded in 1949 and is the largest in the country. We’ll be sorting out toys by age group, wrapping them, and giving them to families in need at the Newhall St. Firehouse in the Bayview.

Come say hi and join us in giving back to our SF community.

Wishing you all a happy and safe holiday season! We’ll see you next year 😉
