Scoot at Autonomy 2018
October 31st, 2018
Returning for the third year to the Autonomy conference in Paris, Mar Pallas, VP of Europe Market Development, represented Scoot on two panels.
“The Future of Light Electric Vehicles (LEVs) and Personal Mobility Devices (PMDs)” was a dynamic panel that engaged the audience on topics including market and business modeling, and public authority relationships. Ms. Pallas discussed customer segmentation, investment strategy, and the need for the future of shared vehicles to be solely electric.
In the second panel, “Is Paris A Hub For New Shared Mobility Services?”, Ms. Pallas joined in on the discussion of the future of Paris’ mobility solutions. She also covered the variety of public regulations across Europe and Scoot’s unique approach to working with policymakers when expanding and deploying fleets.
Scoot has continued to roll out all-electric fleets in its marquee cities across Europe, the US and Latin America. Launching Scoot’s multi-modal fleet of ebikes and electric motor scooters in Barcelona was the first step in Scoot’s global expansion. With an invitation by the Mayor, the company recently launched kick scooters in Santiago, Chile. After being awarded a pilot permit to operate by the SFMTA, the addition of kick scooters in San Francisco will bring Scoot’s fleet to a total of 3,500 electric vehicles worldwide, providing fast, fun, and affordable transportation to tens of thousands of riders every month.
