Positive Resource Center helps Scoot assemble hundreds of Kick Scooters

February 11th, 2019

When you need a hand, you ask your neighbor.

Scoot has had its headquarter office and garage in SOMA since it was founded in 2012. As proponents of community growth, we’ve always supported our neighborhood businesses. We get the majority of our fliers printed by California Office Service on Howard Street, our swag at Camputee, and when we need help unboxing hundreds of kicks, we ask Positive Resource Center (PRC).

Last week, Scoot employees and PRC members got together in our SOMA warehouse and worked hand-in-hand to unbox and assemble hundreds of new kick scooters for our San Francisco fleet.

PRC is funded by the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development. It is an organization that helps people in San Francisco affected by HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, or mental health issues get the opportunities they deserve by providing a variety of integrated legal, social, and health services. This partnership is a key element of honoring our commitment to employing community members through our Jobs Training Program. We look forward to continuing to work with PRC and similar organizations in the future.
