Eat as Many Unique SF Tacos as You Can
San Francisco is the magical land of taquerias. People come from around the world to eat amazing Mexican food that is loved by virtually everyone. We would make this a burrito ride but chances are most of us couldn’t make it past the first stop. Ride through San Francisco with your friends and try as many unique tacos as your stomach can… well… stomach!
1. Meet your friends at the Marina Green in preparation for the tastiest day of indulgence you’ve ever had.
2. First stop, Tacolicious: This Marina taqueria started as a once-a-week popup and has since grown to a 4 location company with amazing salsas and a great cookbook. Scooty tip: the nopales and oaxaca cheese taco is AMAZING.
3. Head south to Tacorea: The youngest business on this list, Tacorea has quickly cemented itself as a heavy hitter in the world of Mexican fusion. The food here is a perfect balance of uncommon and tasty.
4: Get to Market Street for Uno Dos Tacos: Hand-made tortillas, slow cooked everything, and 5 amazing salsas… This not-so-traditional taqueria has it’s roots in Mexico with a little bit of American influence. Scooty tip: They have an amazing outdoor space so sit outside to enjoy the fresh air as much as your taco!
5. Next stop, The Castro and Tacorgasmico: Quaintly decorated in a Dia De Los Muertos fashion, the inside of this taqueria is as colorful as their tacos. Scooty tip: We know this is a taco ride but if you want to get their street-style elote, we won’t tell anyone.
6: It wouldn’t be a taco ride without The Mission and La Taqueria: La taqueria consistently appears on blogs and top-ten lists for one reason, IT’S REALLY GOOD. There is nothing flashy or unique about La Taq, just authenticity and great ingredients. Conclude your taco ride here and decide if you like tradition or uniqueness.
