Shop the Best Thrift Stores in SF
San Francisco is a treasure trove of thrift stores. In fact, you could spend a whole day exploring all of SF’s best and not scratch the surface of what’s out there. Fortunately, Scooting allows you to venture to multiple neighborhoods to hit the best thrifting around. With two big stores and two small ones, you’re sure to find everything you could ever want (and never knew you wanted!). Gather your thriftiest friends and take them along this route for a day of deals and steals on two wheels.
1. Meet your friends at the Salvation Army Family Store. This place is known to be a little expensive but it’s often got designer clothes at great values
2. Once your group has gathered, head south into The Haight to Held Over. This unique thrift store has a rotating theme: One day there will be a rack of amazing Hawaiian shirts, another day you may find hundreds of cashmere sweaters.
3. Next stop: City Impact Thrift Store. This Tenderloin thrift store often as great items at very low prices. Seriously, their prices are LOW. Bonus Buy: sometimes this store has pretty flowers for sale.
4. Finally, Painted Bird: This tiny little gem isn’t as popular as many other thrift stores in the city so you’re sure to find a great deal here. Well curated and still cheap, Painted Bird is a great punctuation to a thrifty day.
