Holiday Lights Galore
Besides cheer and jolly, the holiday season brings out the best in lighting decorations. Romping around the city to see all the lights would usually be quite difficult, but with scoot you can enjoy the winter breeze and explore the decorations at your leisure! Gather your friends, toss some hot chocolate in a thermos, and get ready to light up San Francisco like never before.
1. Scoot to Union Street Fantasy of Lights: From the beginning of December until the end of the year, Union Street gets covered in lights, trees become giant candy canes, and many of the victorian houses on the street join in the festivities. Get a warm drink from one of the many coffee shops on Union Street and enjoy this festival put on by the community. Park on the street near Union between Franklin and Webster.
2. Tom and Jerry’s House: Like Christmas on steroids (in a good way), this house in The Castro will get you into the holiday spirit in no time. Park at the bottom of 21st street and walk up the massive hill. Marvel at the detail of this amazingly decorated house and if you’re lucky you might even get to sit on Santa’s lap!
3. Union Square: This time of year the giant tree, ice skating rink, and the Macy’s building are all lit up. Park your scoot in the Union Square parking garage and spend some time absorbing the magic in the air. End your ride here or let scoot take you home :]
