About the role: Scoot is bringing fast, fun, green, affordable transportation to San Francisco. Our small marketing team is growing and we’re looking for a Videographer. Come help spread the word about Scoot! Check out our Vimeo channel to get a sense of the kinds of projects you’ll be working on.

Responsibilities:

  • Tell the story and reflect the brand of Scoot through engaging videos and photography which our marketing team will use across multiple channels
  • Produce, shoot and edit videos/photos from start to finish

About you:

  • You love to quickly produce, shoot, and edit high-quality videos that engage users and get people excited about a brand.
  • You have a portfolio that tells the unique stories of different brands and ideas
  • You’re scrappy at finding ways to promote and evangelize a fun, forward-thinking service
  • You excel at, and love working in, a fast-paced, always-changing environment
  • You have a vision and can execute on it, even if plans change mid-shoot
  • You think that electric scooters are the coolest thing since the Tamagotchi and you’re excited to help bring about the electric revolution, one little red scooter at a time
  • Able to work flexible hours, in San Francisco, sometimes in the evenings and on weekends

Requirements:

  • You own your own equipment: DSLR camera, laptop, editing software. Some additional equipment can be rented, but you should be self-sufficient on most projects.
  • Experience editing (Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere), integrating music, organizing post processing/file management, and color grading footage.
  • Able (or willing to learn) to ride electric scooters
  • Superb communication skills
  • Bonus: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign proficiency

Compensation & Benefits:

Jobs –  Contract Electrician

Are you a whiz with wiring and want to help bring power to our fleet of electric mopeds? Does your conduit work look like a piece of art? Can you install a 120V outlet like nobody’s business? We need your help to bring hundreds of powered parking spaces online this year.  

The Position: Contract Electrician. You’ll take the lead in installing Scoot’s electrical needs at our new locations and updating existing locations. You might help with painting, installing equipment, and posting signage at new locations.

Hours : Flexible

You:

  • Are you a licensed electrician or can work under someone else’s guidance.
  • Can commit to days and times necessary to install outlets as quickly as possible.
  • Want to be a part of the next big thing and are passionate about helping us change the world!

Required:

  • License to do electrical work in San Francisco
  • Familiarity with submitting permits to building department.
  • Passion for making San Francisco a better place

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods.
  • Ability to bend, squat, and lift frequently.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to manipulate hand tools.

Preferred:

  • Access to your own equipment and vehicle for electrical installations.

Jobs – Community Operations Technician

Do you enjoy working outdoors? Do you love riding on two wheels all over the city? Are you handy with tools?

The Position: Community Operations Technician. You’ll play a key role with our scoots on the street and in garages. You’ll keep our fleet charged and ready by swapping batteries and riding low-battery scoots to garages. You’ll maintain locations and do minor repairs at garages. You’ll help as we expand to more garages, including painting, installing equipment, and posting signage. You’ll be ready to spring into action to help scoots needing immediate roadside attention.

Hours — possible shifts include:

  • Weeknights
  • Weekends any time
  • Weekdays as needed
  • Hours and days are somewhat flexible
  • Minimum commitment of 10 hour per week
  • Maximum of 20-25 hours per week

You:

  • Are an experienced rider of one of the following: scooters, motorcycles or mopeds
  • Are dependable and reliable
  • Are able to remove and replace 25 to 45 pound batteries safely and comfortably
  • Are comfortable using your hands and working with tools when necessary
  • Want to be a part of the next big thing and are passionate about helping us change the world!

Required:

  • Motorcycle (M1) or moped (M2) license
  • Clean driving record
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have a smart phone with a data plan
  • Passion for making San Francisco a better place

  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods.
  • Ability to bend, squat, and lift frequently.

The Position:  paid 3-month fellowship focusing on Scoot Coaching and Fleet Distribution

This is an opportunity to work with a fun, exciting, and rapidly growing start-up in San Francisco.  Scoot Networks is looking for an enthusiastic and dependable intern to help execute some of the day-to-day logistics and tasks of our business.  This position includes mostly Scoot coaching and fleet distribution.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach people how to safely ride our electric scooters by coaching at least 2 classes a week.

  • Work on building a system for on-demand orientations

  • Assist in experimenting with big number orientations

  • Help make orientations more fun, interesting, and notable

  • Ride scoots around the city to place them in the most effective locations to either inspire more rides or get ready for classes

Hours:

  • This job will require work mostly during the week days, but hours are flexible and weekends are required.
  • Maximum of 40 hour per week.
