
What is the Community Plan?
Scoot’s Community Plan allows riders to pay the discounted price of 50¢ to unlock and 7¢/minute to ride Scoot’s kick scooters. Cash payment is available to riders on this plan.
How much does it cost?
With the Community Plan, it’s just 50¢ to unlock a kick scooter and then 7¢/minute after that on up to 4 rides/day.


Who is eligible?
Scoot’s Community Plan is available to riders who are enrolled in low-income programs such as EBT, seniors, veterans, discounted utility services, or any other state or federally-run assistance programs. This plan is offered to non-profits, students with Pell grants, teachers, frontline workers, delivery drivers, grocery clerks, waiters, disaster service workers, and essential workers. Employees of pre-approved community-based organizations (CBOs) and nonprofits in San Francisco serving underserved and at-risk areas, including Positive Resource Center, The Arc San Francisco, Young Community Developers and Urban Ed Academy also qualify.
How do I sign up?
First, download the Scoot Kick app and sign up for Scoot! Once you have an account, write to us at hi@scoot.co and let us know that you would like to be placed on the Community Plan. We will get you riding in no time!
